Day 1: Marrakech – Dades Valley
Our journey begins with an early departure from Marrakech toward Ouarzazate, crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains through the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass. Our first major stop will be at the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning traditional architecture and its role as a filming location for many movies.
After exploring the kasbah, we will enjoy lunch nearby before continuing our journey through the Valley of Roses, with a short stop in Kelaat M’Gouna, famous for its rose products and annual rose festival.
In the afternoon, we drive through beautiful landscapes until we reach Dades Valley, where we will spend the night in a local hotel or guesthouse.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Merzouga Desert (Camel Trek) .
After breakfast, we leave Dades Valley and travel toward the impressive Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with high rock walls where we will take time to explore and enjoy the scenery. Lunch will be served near the gorges.
In the afternoon, the journey continues toward the Sahara Desert, passing through the towns of Erfoud and Rissani, both known for their rich history and desert culture.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will experience a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets over the Sahara, we arrive at a traditional desert camp where you will spend the night. Enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars and listen to the rhythms of Berber drums around the campfire.
Day 3: Merzouga – Fez
On the final day, we wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes. Afterward, we ride camels back to Merzouga village where breakfast and a refreshing shower await at the hotel.
We then begin the journey toward Fez, traveling through the Tafilalt region and passing through Erfoud, Rissani, and Errachidia. We will cross the scenic mountain pass Tizi n’Talghamt, also known as the “Pass of the She-Camel”.
After stopping for lunch in Zaida, we continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains toward Azrou, where we may visit the cedar forests and see the famous Barbary monkeys.
Our tour concludes upon arrival in the imperial city of Fez.
