9 Day Tour from Fez to Marrakech

Day 1: Exploring Fez

The first day is dedicated to exploring the historic city of Fez, one of Morocco’s oldest and most culturally rich cities. During a guided tour, you will visit the most important landmarks of the Medina including traditional madrasas, lively souks, the famous Al Quaraouiyine University, historic mosques, plazas, Andalusian architecture, pottery workshops, palaces, and museums.

After a full day of exploration, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional Moroccan riad.

Day 2: Fez – Azrou – Midelt

After breakfast, depart from Fez and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in the cedar forests near Azrou where you may see Barbary monkeys.

Continue the journey through beautiful mountain landscapes until arriving in Midelt, where you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

Day 3: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, leave Midelt and drive through the scenic Tizi n’Talghamt pass. Continue the journey through the Ziz Valley with its impressive palm groves and desert scenery.

Pass through Errachidia and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga at the edge of the famous Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel near the desert.

Day 4: Explore Merzouga Desert

Today you will discover the beauty of the Sahara Desert. Visit the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and explore the surrounding desert landscapes.

Later, visit Khamlia village where you will enjoy traditional Gnawa music. In the evening, ride camels across the dunes and head to a desert camp where you will spend the night under the stars while enjoying traditional Berber music.

Day 5: Desert Experience with Nomads

Spend the day experiencing desert life. Visit nomadic families living in the Sahara and learn about their traditions and lifestyle.

Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert before spending another magical night in the desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, visit the historic town of Rissani, famous for its traditional market. Continue the journey to Tinghir and explore the impressive Todra Gorges, known for their towering canyon walls.

Later, travel to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Visit the film studios and Taourirt Kasbah before spending the night in a hotel.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for many international movies.

Continue to Telouet Kasbah before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and spend the night in a traditional riad.

Day 8: Exploring Marrakech

Today you will explore the vibrant city of Marrakech with a guided tour. Visit the city’s most famous landmarks including the Menara Gardens, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Gardens, and the lively souks.

In the evening, experience the unique atmosphere of Jemaa El-Fna square. Overnight stay in a riad in Marrakech.

Day 9: Marrakech – Airport Transfer

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Marrakech airport according to your flight schedule. This marks the end of your unforgettable Moroccan adventure.
