5 Day Tour From Fez To Marrakech

Day 1: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Your journey begins with a departure from Fez heading toward the Sahara Desert. The road passes through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see Barbary monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, continue the drive through the spectacular Ziz Valley with its palm groves and impressive desert landscapes. Pass through the towns of Erfoud and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.After passing through the desert towns of Rissani and Erfoud, you will arrive in Merzouga, located at the edge of the famous Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere and spend the night in a comfortable hotel near the dunes.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga Desert & Camel Trek

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the desert region around Merzouga. Visit Khamlia village where you will experience traditional Gnawa music performed by local musicians.

Later, visit the town of Rissani, known for its traditional market and historical importance as a caravan trading center. In the afternoon, return to Merzouga for an unforgettable camel trekking experience across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Arrive at the desert camp where you will watch the sunset over the dunes, enjoy a traditional dinner, listen to Berber music around the campfire, and spend the night in a comfortable desert tent under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up early to admire the beautiful sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast and a shower at the hotel, depart toward Todra Gorges, one of the most spectacular natural canyons in Morocco.

Enjoy walking through the narrow valley surrounded by towering cliffs. After exploring the gorges, continue the journey toward the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations and breathtaking landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in the valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, depart from Dades Valley and drive through the Valley of Roses. You may stop in Kalaat Mgouna, known for its local rose products such as rose water and cosmetics.

Continue to the oasis of Skoura where you can enjoy lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant. Later, arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Visit the famous film studios where many international movies were filmed. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most impressive historical villages. The kasbah has been featured in many famous films and TV series.

After exploring the site, continue the journey across the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views before arriving in Marrakech in the evening, where the tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.
