3 Days from Marrakech to Marrakech via Desert

Day 1 – From Marrakech to Dades Gorge

Travel over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber Villages on the way. Stop for lunch and tour in the World heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. (This famous kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films.) Pass through Ouarzazate and continue towards the Valley of Roses and the Dades valley, Skoura oisis with it’s authentic 17 century kasbah, the valley of a thousand Kasbahs and the
Dades Gorge. Stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 2 – Dades Gorge to Merzouga

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to the Todra Gorge: a massive fault, rising to 300 m in a narrow valley thickstudded with palmeries and Berber Villages. After lunch in the gorge, get transported further into the desert to Merzouga, stops along the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will take a camel ride (about one hour and a half) in order to get to your Bivouac Tent. (Toilet facilities at the camp.)

Day 3 – Merzouga to Marrakech

Return back to Ouarzazate and back over the high Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Marrakech evening 8 p.m.(approximately).
